Valentini’s long-standing association with Montgomery started in 2009 when he was recruited by Leftfield Pictures, as the company’s General Manager and Montgomery’s business partner. Excited to apply his MBA experience and industry knowledge, Valentini embarked on creating operational efficiencies by adopting sound business practices and focus on growth. Within a few years of Valentini’s arrival, Leftfield was generating the highest gross margins in the unscripted industry and invested such into the acquisition of Sirens Media and creating two new business ventures Loud TV and Outpost Entertainment, all financed through a syndicate of banks led by Barclays, RBS Citizens, and SunTrust Banks. In 2014, Leftfield Entertainment sold to ITV plc, a FTSE 250 British media company and largest commercial terrestrial television network and studio in the UK. Valentini was elevated to Chief Operating Officer of ITV America where he further oversaw all unscripted operations in the United States and was responsible for integrating all nine of its independently operated production companies into a national organization building a centralized infrastructure consisting of two production hubs with streamlined operational divisions including accounting, business & legal affairs, human resources, IT/facility operations, production management, post-production management, development, casting, and physical production. Said activities created cost efficiencies and savings exceeding $20M annually, arguably resulting in the most profitable independent unscripted producer in the United States.

In the late 90’s, Valentini joined Unapix Entertainment, a NYC based public entertainment company, overseeing the physical production of both unscripted programming and feature films. There he produced for such networks as Discovery, PBS, A+E, HBO, Showtime as well as the home video market. During his tenure at Unapix, Chris began to demonstrate his entrepreneurial aspirations by working with the company’s various divisions on special projects.
